Swim: Broad Run SR Jacob Leidy Commits to NCAA D1 University of Wyoming

(April 20, 2012) - Broad Run High School senior Jacob Leidy announced Thursday that he has committed to swim next year for NCAA Division I University of Wyoming.

Leidy posted on Facebook: "After a lot of thinking, patience, and prayer; I have officially committed to swim for University of Wyoming next year. I owe it all to my family, friends, and most importantly God!"

Wyoming, a school with 13,000 total students, was established in 1886 in Laramie. The Cowboys swim in the Mountain West conference. (No word on if the Cowboys use ... seahorses ....)

Leidy exits Broad Run as the school record holder in the 50 free and 100 back as well as a member of the record-setting 200 and 400 free relay teams. He was a member of the Spartan 2011 state championship 200 free relay squad.
