Springfield, MA (March 13, 2013) - Dominion High School grad Geoff McCowat, granted an extra year of eligibility after a season-ending injury his junior year limited him to seven apperances in 2011, is making the most of his graduate experience at American International College.
He graduated last June and is now in his first year of graduate school in pursuit of his MBA. Last year the right-hander went went 2-0 with a 2.35 ERA and opposing hitters went just .167 against him in 15 appearances.
McCowat picked up the win in relief in the team's March 9 season opening 7-6 victory over Bloomfield and on Tuesday he worked 1.2 scoreless innings in a 5-4 win over Caldwell College. Both games were on AIC's spring break trip to Florida.
