Soccer: Stone Bridge Hosts Broad Run Tonight in Kicks for Cancer Doubleheader

Ashburn (March 19, 2012) - Stone Bridge High School will host Broad Run tonight in a girls, boys varsity doubleheader Kicks for Cancer soccer event.

There will be a raffle which will benefit the American Cancer Society. Autographed game jerseys from Landon Donavon and David Beckham, who both play for the current reigning MLS champions L.A. Galaxy, as well as adidas soccer cleats valued at $200 provide by Sterling Soccer, Clydes and Zinga gift cards are a part of the raffle.

This is also Loudoun Soccer night and all players who are a part of the Loudoun Soccer club who wear the Loudoun Soccer uniform or Loudoun practice T-shirts are admitted free with a paying adult.

The girls kick off at 5:30 and the boys at 7:15 p.m.

The doubleheader will also be aired by Verizon FiOS1 in delay on Channel 1 for Verizon FiOS TV subscribers:

Boys game will air: Fri, March 23 at 2 p.m., Sat, March 24 at 4:30 p.m. and Sun, March 25 at 2:30 p.m. The girls game will air: Fri, March 23 at 7:30 p.m., Sat, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Sun, March 25
at 5 p.m.

Both contests will also be available after that on Verizon FiOS Video On-Demand in the FiOS1 Local Zone Folder.

Ashburn (Oct. 11, 2011) – Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley and wife, Christy, in partnership with Tanya Snyder, wife of Redskins owner Daniel M. Snyder, and the American Cancer Society hosted the fourth annual All-Star Survivors Celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Redskins Park for 20 area women currently battling breast cancer.
