Beat the LoCo Experts: Final Exam Time! Final Week of Our Contest!

(Dec. 10, 2010) - You have crammed all year for this ... your one shining moment ... the final week of the Beat the LoCo Experts contest.

No more Kaplan Beat the LoCo Experts courses to take or Dummies for Beat the LoCo Experts books to read or one-on-one tutoring sessions with The Oracle.

Time to pick the final 2 games ... tough state title games with Briar Woods and Stone Bridge looking to bring back championships to Loudoun.

In the experts race, VivaLoudoun editor Dan Sousa holds onto a slim lead over Carl "King of All Loudoun Media" Lukat of the LTM. Sousa has the advantage of running the contest and thus has fixed it so he will win.

In the fans race, Michael of Ashburn, maintains a 1-game lead over Plankster of Ashburn ... with the winner getting $100 in cash (or whatever is behind door No. 3 ... it is your very own Llama!).

Last week ... we all bombed so to speak as nobody had Briar Woods scoring close to 52 points and everybody had high-powered Osbourn scoring at least some points against Stone Bridge! Easy E of Sterling earned the not so easy win with picks of 30-7 Briar Woods and 24-20 Stone Bridge (we told you it was a tough week!) ... that left Easy E with a t-shirt, just edging Big Daddy H of Leesburg (who we believe wins just about everything in his "night job" ...).

The fine print: We recently celebrated our one millioneath typo on VivaLoudoun ... make that 1,000,001 and counting ... Not really sure why I always got an orange in my stocking each Christmas. Was Santa really that worried about me getting scurvy ... I used to speak with my mother by phone a lot more before Called ID was invented ... My wife thinks I'm job hunting ... Thanks DARE for making alcohol the focus of this week's talk and right around holiday party time ... my fifth grader has turned into Carry Nation! ... That one esoteric reference is especially for Paul Tenorio who was voted Mr. Most Likely to Get an Esoteric Reference at Northwestern ... Boot camp would be a lot harder if we actually had to wear boots ... Mickey Thompson has spent more time at UVa the past couple of years than when he was actually going to school there ... remember when "iTouch" usually meant "uSlapped ... thanks for visiting the Fine Print this football season and please drive the Information Superhighway home safely.
