(June 27, 2012) - Loudoun County is hosting a community information meeting on the Route 7 Traffic Flow Improvements Project from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Cascades Library, 21030 Whitfield Place in Potomac Falls.
Loudoun County staff and representatives of the county's engineering consultant on the project, A. Morton Thomas & Associates, and General Excavation, Inc., will provide area residents with an update on the project. Information will be provided regarding the scope of the project; actual planned operations such as lanes shifts, starting/ending locations, hours of operation; the project schedule, and potential impacts on the community. There will also be a question-and-answer period.
The Route 7 Traffic Flow Improvements Project is designed to improve traffic flow and safety, as well as reduce travel time through the busy section of the Route 7 corridor, from Potomac View Road through Augusta Drive through various means, including road widening, installation of signals and other work at the intersections of Potomac View Road, Sterling Blvd., Augusta Drive and Route 7 east and west bound.
