College Signing: Loudoun Valley Golfer Scott Davidson to Tee it Up at Wilmington University

Purcellville (Mar. 3, 2011) - Loudoun Valley High School senior all-state golfer Scott Davidson has accepted a full ride scholarship to tee it up next year at NCAA Division II Wilmington University in Delaware.

Davidson, first team all-district, all-region and all-state his senior year, helped the Vikings to four consecutive state tournament trips during his tenure and Valley captured the Cedar Run District championship three times and was runner-up once, won the district tournament twice and captured the Northwest Region tournament three times with one runner-up finish.

A district medalist his freshman year, Davidson had a 75.9 18-hole average his sophomore year and won the Cheers Invitational with a 71. As a junior he set the school's 9-hole record with a 4-under par 30. And his senior year he was fourth in the state with a 5-under par two-day total, captured the Northwest Region individual championship a nd was runner-up in the Cedar Run. His 18-hole average in the fall was 72.3 and his 9-hole average was 35.5.
