News: Naval Academy Aquatic Club Water Polo to Hold Free Clinic at Claude Moore

(Mar. 17, 2011) - The Naval Academy Aquatic Club (NAAC) water polo program will hold a free clinic for boys and girls ages 7 thru 18 at Claude Moore Recreation Center in Sterling on Saturday, March 19, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Naval Academy Aquatic Club has produced many male and female scholarship athletes for NCAA college programs including Princeton, UCLA, Brown, University of MD and US Naval Academy and is recognized as one of the top water polo programs in the country.

High School and summer age group swimmers and anyone else who can swim 25 yards and tread water for 2 minutes are invited to Saturday's "Open House".

NAAC participates in USA Water Polo age group, high school, and junior/senior level competitions, locally, regionally, and nationally and takes an annual 10 day summer training and competition trip to Southern California.

Water Polo is a combination of swimming, basketball, soccer and hockey. Come learn more about the sport from one of the top coaches in the world, Mike Schofield.
