Hi Dan: Can we get some info up for Loudoun Field Hockey Association?
ReplyDeleteFall Registration is open for Loudoun Field Hockey Association for grades 3-8, High School Club and Adult league.
Congratulations to our high school players who've made great progress in establishing Club teams in most of the county high schools!
We will be playing in Sterling, Leesburg and Purcellville--on turf and the new Bermuda grass fields at Bolen!

ReplyDeleteCongradulations to Ryan McCarter on breaking the long standing record of most points scored in a game. Billy King who is the general Manager of the New Jersey Nets Had his record replaced by senior guard Ryan McCarter of Park View High School on 12/21 2011 against Dominion High School. The record 39 points, which stood for thirty years was finally replaced with a score of 44 points and now stands as the highest scoring performance of the schools history.

ReplyDeleteFollowing the first season with the new VHSL Pitching Policy in place, how about a follow-up article about the pros / cons, what the coaches thought of it, what they would like to see changed, what the parents and pitchers thought about it, and what they would like changed.
I'd also like to know where the elements of the policy came from. Why 9 innings in a day? Was there a study that said 10 was too many, and 9 was ok? Why not have a different policy for JV - younger arms? Do they really think there are pitchers in HS that regularly average 10 pitches per inning? Why not go to pitch count? etc.
