Football: Another Loudoun Head Football Spot Opens as Potomac Falls Coach Woodlief Returns to Kecoughtan

Sterling (Feb. 2, 2010) - For those of you keeping score at home ... that would be four varsity football positions open in Loudoun now as Potomac Falls coach Scott Woodlief becomes the third Dulles District coach in as many weeks to resign.

First Mike Burnett left Broad Run after winning back-to-back state titles with the Spartans to take over the new Tuscarora High School position. Then Park View coach Andy Hill stepped down to look for other head coaching opportunities and now the Daily Press is reporting that Scott Woodlief, after four seasons in Sterling, is returning to his old high school, Kecoughtan as the new head coach.

Also Woodgrove High School is still searching for the right person to start their football program.

Woodlief graduated from Kecoughtan in 1982 and served as an assistant football coach at the school from 1994 to 1997. At Potomac Falls, he went 23-19 including the school's first ever playoff appearance and victory two years ago before falling to Broad Run in the Region II Division 4 finals.
